New Project Alert - Highly customizable finance dashboard

Summary
Starting a new project: a highly customizable finance dashboard that helps users build the habit of 'looking around' by showing asset prices and news on a single screen.

I did too much thinking about my second project after military. The first one was personal page/blog renewal, which was too obvious. I didn’t think it was a ‘PROJECT’ since there wasn’t any special creativity involved with that. A PROJECT should have a vision, challenge, and goal.

I was kind of greedy about projects, so I wished to make some profit from next one. I’m not saying money-related greedy, lesson-related greedy. From my last project ‘Dchup2.0’, I learned so much on the deployment part. I thought about server structure, using AWS, and security over internet. Those were totally new things to consider since I had never thought about deployment in previous projects. And those considerations are the actuall thoughts needed in industry. Therefore, I figured out that “Practical problems gives me most lessons”.

In that POV, I wanted my next project to be more practical, so I wanted to make it actually profitable. However, It is really difficult to find idea that is profitable. If everyone can find it easily, they would just build a business for that and become rich.

Anyway, I got an idea that I may pay for this service if it exsisted.

Where it came from?

It actually came from my dad. When he tell me about life, he always emphasizes the importance of “looking around”. Life is all about opportunity, and I should look around and seek for it.

“Looking Around” doesn’t mean something huge. It is just a simple habit that knows what’s going on in our society. If you know the exchange rate between KRW and USD, price of bitcoin, reason of Iranian War, that is one of it. If you have more of these kind of info and you have ability to judge them, Congrats! you already doing “Looking Around”.

I’m not good at this kind of habbit. To make an excuse, it takes too much effort to look up those info, and terms are too difficult.

Yes, as you guess, this problem became my idea.

How can I solve this?

Actually the solution is really simple. Build a platform that user can get infos easily. And that is my idea. a Highly Customizable Dashboard. If you set this dashboard properly, you can literally look at it and get all the infos you care.

And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who suffers from this problem. If they don’t suffer, I can say they have really great secretary or doesn’t care about “Looking Around”. And I’m confident in persuading them to build a habit of “Looking Around” with my software.

I have zero code now, but I’m pretty sure this should be a great project. I’ll share the process soon.
